Lunetta Restaurant fit-out project a winner at the 2025 Master Builders ACT Awards

Shaw Building Group is excited to announce our 'Lunetta' Red Hill Restaurant Fitout project was awarded the winner of the Commercial or Retail Fitout, Refurbishment or Alteration $1 million - $5 million category at the 2025 Master Builders Association ACT and Asset Construction Hire Excellence Awards.

Hosted on Friday 5 September 2025 at the National Convention Centre, the Awards Night saw over 1,200 industry members come together to celebrate the achievements of those within the construction sector here in the ACT over the last year.

Shaw Building Group General Manager, Damiano Serenellini, and Project Supervisor, Joey Luks, were proud to be among the team members present on the night to accept the award on the night.

The revitalised Lunetta & Lunetta Trattoria has seen the iconic Red Hill restaurant location come to life once more, with the venue now an award-winning hot spot of the Canberra dining scene.

The restoration required meticulous planning and collaboration to include two new restaurants in the existing building.

It included upgrading of critical infrastructure within a nature reserve to increase the electrical supply to the building, structural modification to suit the new internal fit-outs & enhancement of the existing façade to bring life back into the building.

With a range of high-end finishes being installed, the attention to detail by the project team was impeccable.

The project has also been nominated for The National Excellence in Building & Construction Awards set to take place in November 2025.

Our team is proud to have been a part of this wonderful addition to Canberra's dining scene and restoring such an iconic building.
