Shaw Building Group raises $115k at 21st annual edition of Carers ACT Bowls Day

Shaw Building Group is excited to share we raised close to $115,000 for Carers ACT at our annual Charity Bowls Day hosted on Friday 13th March 2026.

The 21st annual edition of the event, this year the bowls day was hosted at the Weston Creek Labor Club, with a wide range of our industry partners coming together to help raise much needed funds for a good cause.

This year’s event also made full use of the scary day of the week it was hosted on, with all attendees encouraged to come dressed in their scariest costume on Friday the 13th.

The event also included a fundraising raffle where attendees could bid for a range of prizes, with all proceeds going towards the worthy cause.

For over 30 years the team at Carers ACT have been making a difference to the lives of unpaid carers in the ACT through their work assisting carers through their journey, supporting and advocating for better outcomes and being there during the hard times.

Carers ACT also plays a vital role in creating a more inclusive, compassionate and kind community through our advocacy work and driving partnerships with Government and other stakeholders.

We would like to thank all of our amazing industry partners, community members and attendees who helped to make this year’s event another great success.

These contributions will go directly to Carers ACT and make a tangible difference to the lives of unpaid carers here in the ACT.

We look forward to another successful campaign for good in 2027. You can view the full gallery of photos from the day below.
