SBG Team Members Ben Tonkin and Matt Lindner recognised at AIB’s 2026 National Professional Excellence Awards

Shaw Building Group was honoured to have been recognised at the recent National Professional Excellence Awards by the Australian Institute of Building (AIB).

Hosted at the Hyatt Hotel here in Canberra, the prestigious event celebrated excellence, leadership and professionalism across the building and construction industry of Australia – alongside AIB’s 75th Anniversary year celebrations.

After being recognised at the recent ACT state-level awards in early July, Shaw Building Group received two AIB 2026 National Professional Excellence in Building Awards last Saturday 29 August.

Shaw Building Group Project Manager Ben Tonkin was awarded for his work on our Acton ACT Emergency Services Station project in the Commercial Construction $25m to $60m category.

Team Leader Matt Lindner was also awarded for his outstanding efforts on our ANU National Computational Infrastructure Stage 2 Energy Centre project in the Research Development & Technology category.
