Shaw Building Group takes home an MBA ACT 2026 Excellence Award for third year running
Winners from the 2026 MBA ACT Excellence Awards.
Shaw Building Group is honoured to be a winner from the Master Builders Association ACT Excellence Awards for the third year running.
After taking home awards for projects in both 2024, and 2025, our team is excited to have been recognised for the third year in a row at this year’s Awards.
Hosted on Friday 11 September at the National Convention Centre in Canberra, the Awards are the pinnacle showcase of outstanding projects across the civil, commercial and residential construction sectors in the ACT.
Shaw Building Group had two projects recognised across multiple categories in 2026, with our Acton ACT Emergency Services Station project completed in 2025 a finalist in the Commercial Construction $20 million to $50 million Category, and our ANU National Computational Infrastructure Stage 2 Energy Centre project a finalist in the Project Displaying Technical Difficulty or Innovation - Contractor Category.
It was the former that took home the win on the night, with the Emergency Services Station Project awarded the top project its respective category.
The Acton Emergency Services Station is a state‑of‑the‑art, purpose-built 24 hour facility that brings together ACT Fire & Rescue and the ACT Ambulance Service, improving response times, coordination and operational resilience for Canberra emergency services.
It is engineered for performance and incorporates high levels of innovation and sustainable design, using thoughtful human-centred design to safeguard the health, safety and wellbeing of frontline responders.
Functional, well-built and thoughtfully delivered, we’re proud to have been behind the delivery of a project that supports the community in a meaningful way.
Regardless of the win, it was a wonderful night to come together with others in our industry to celebrate another great year of construction progress across the Canberra region.
